I had a visit with the doctor’s this week for a checkup. She took my blood pressure, listen to my baby’s heartbeat and measured my bump and all were fine. Every time I listen to the baby’s heartbeat, I felt much appreciated.I am putting on some weight compare to the previous check. It is grateful to hear that the baby is in good condition. It means that the baby has passed all the baby test till now. Well done, little baby. I have to wait another 14 weeks to expect the birth of the baby.   

Due to there is a test for gestational diabetes, and I was not allowed to drink and eat anything after 8’oclock last night. It is harmful to both of pregnant women and babies’ health if kid’s mother become diabetic. Thus, it is necessary to follow the instructions and to do the test during the period week 24 to week 28.


Firstly I was not allowed to eat anything this morning, in fact, I was very thirsty and hungry for long hours not to drink or eat anything. But I have to bear this. The doctor reminded me that there were  three times in total for drawing my blood. Pay attention that drinking or eating should be prohibited during the whole blood test process. When I have finished the payment, I went to the test room for the first blood drawing. Then I went to the medicine room to get some Lucozade. I had to finish an entire bottle of Lucozade within 15 minutes, and the taste was terrible sweet to drink. One hours later the second round blood test would be go ahead. The nurse drew my blood the third time about another one hour intervals.

After finished all the checkup items, it was about 11’o clock, I can finally got something to eat. And I have to come back to hospital the next day to print out the blood test report from the electronic system.
